Habitation St Etienne Kilchoman (Islay Peated Single Malt Cask)
Habitation St Etienne Kilchoman (Islay Peated Single Malt Cask)
After aging for 6 years in oak barrels, the old rum of the Habitation Saint-Etienne has benefited from a finish in ex-Kilchoman whisky barrels. The particularity of this refining is the marriage between sea spray, peat and Caribbean heat.
The whisky produced by Kilchoman (Islay Island Distillery Farm) is a peated and iodized single malt. The barrels that contained it were impregnated with these aromas. The 4-month maturation will give its old rum a new aromatic dimension while preserving the HSE DNA.
Saint-Étienne was built on the foundations of "La Maugée", a sugar factory whose land extended in the early nineteenth century over more than 400 hectares, from Gros-Morne to Saint-Joseph in Martinique.
