Diplomatico Rum Reserva Exclusiva is a dark, full-bodied Venezuelan rum. This refined and sophisticated rum takes twelve years to age in oak barrels after being crafted from thousands of sugar canes and distilled by hand in ancient copper stills.

The amber-colored Diplomático Rum Reserva Exclusiva has a refined aroma of wood, dried fruit, and honey. On the palate it is sweet and ethereal, with hints of oak, tree resin and a pleasant finish on notes of maple and nuts.

Overall, the flavor is both smooth and complex, with hints of seasoned oak and syrup. Orange peel, brown sugar, and cinnamon fragrances greet the nose.

The traditional method of double distillation in copper stills produces a product with extraordinary balance. The aftertaste is intensely sweet and lingering. This rum goes wonderfully with dark chocolate and is great on its own or with a cigar.
